For Our Visitors
Our Grace Church family welcomes you!  Please sign our attendance pad when you come to worship so we know you have visited with us.  We have a nursery available for all children age 4 and under.  For children over 4 years of age, activity bags are available for their use in the sanctuary during the service.  We practice open communion, which means we welcome any baptized Christian to the table.  It is the Lord's Table, and he invites all who trust him to share the feast he has prepared.

Welcome and Announcements

We Worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth
Call to Worship: (James 1:19-20, responsive)
Leader: As James says, “You must understand this, my beloved .  .  .”
People: “Let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger; for your anger does
not produce God’s righteousness.”
Leader: By the power of the Spirit, let us lay aside anger and all malice and approach the
throne of God in worship.

Opening Song of Praise: #87                                               His Name Is Wonderful
Hymn of Praise: #72                                            To God Be the Glory

Prayer of Praise and the Lord’s Prayer
In your great mercy, Lord, you have not let your anger burn hot against us.  And so we
thank you, and ask that you would help us not let our anger burn hot against others.
Close our mouths when we want to say hurtful things.  Transform vengeful feelings into
compassionate thoughts.  May our words and actions always be guided by your Spirit, as
it your guided your Son, Jesus, who taught us to pray, Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and
lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom and the
power and the glory, forever.  Amen.
Gloria Patri  #807
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen, Amen.
